The League of Women Voter of Tacoma-Pierce County will host a public forum to discuss the proposed amendments to the Pierce County Charter that are on the November ballot. Former Pierce County Auditor Julie Anderson will moderate a panel featuring the following panelists:
• Peter Callaghan - Former News Tribune and MinnPost writer and columnist
• Lyle Quasim - Chair of Tacoma Pierce County Black Collective
• Kristen Wynne - Founder and Chair of the Tacoma Business Council
• Derek Young - Washington State Association of Counties Executive Director
The panelists bring a range of experience and perspectives to a conversation about the proposed changes and what they could mean for Pierce County government.
This forum is part of the League’s ongoing effort to help voters understand the issues presented on the ballot. We hope all community members will attend and participate in the discussion.
